What you’ll get from therapy
I am a licensed alcohol and drug counselor in Tennessee, a nationally certified addiction counselor, a brain-spotting practitioner, and a certified life coach. Previously, I was a certified personal trainer, yoga instructor, and nutrition coach. I have a passion for helping people heal physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I take a holistic and integrative approach to therapy because I believe that we cannot heal just one part of ourselves.
In my clinical experience, I have worked with clients who struggle with self-acceptance, trauma, grief, and addiction. I provide education, support, encouragement, and a safe space for my clients to explore their hurts and challenges. Many clients have spent their lives trying to meet the expectations of others and often struggle with feelings of inadequacy. As a result, they may grapple with shame and self-love issues. Through our sessions together, my clients learn to find their true identity and discover their purpose. Once they realize who they truly are, they can begin to love themselves.
I am also the author of “Eyes on Me,” a book/workbook that focuses on facing fears, connecting spiritually, and enjoying life. Additionally, I lead workshops on topics such as nutrition and mental health, drum therapy, and couples dance therapy.
Wellness and Recovery Group is considered an out-of-network provider, meaning we do not accept or bill insurance. We can accept HSA cards or provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider. Reimbursement from your insurance is dependent on the coverage provided by your insurance policy for out-of-network providers. Some policies will reimburse you for out-of-network visits, either partially or in full, so it is worth contacting them to find out.
